The Library

The Ouray Public Library offers complete collections of fiction, nonfiction, young adult, and youth books, periodicals, movies, audio, and e-resources. The library also houses a special collection of Ouray and Ouray County books. Geared toward our outdoor community, the library holds a subscription to the Alpinist, which is bound annually, as well as an extensive collection of books on outdoor activities in Ouray County and the San Juan Mountains, including ice climbing, hiking, avalanche safety, and travel guides.

Strategic Plan

NOTICE is hereby given that a proposed Strategic-Plan_2017 has been submitted to the Board of Trustees of the Ouray Library District for the ensuing year of 2017: a copy of the proposed STRATEGIC PLAN has been filed in the office of the Ouray Public Library, where the same is open for public inspection. The proposed STRATEGIC PLAN will be considered at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Ouray Library District to be held at the Ouray Public Library 320 6th Ave. on January 18, 2016, at 8:45 A.M. Any interested elector of the Ouray Library District may inspect the proposed strategic plan and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the plan.
