Craft Bags

Youth of all ages may pick up activity bags at the Ouray Library youth section. New options available every week.

Coding at Home

These coding opportunities are free and easy to access from anywhere. You can keep up your coding skills for free at code.org or codeacademy.com.  Or, if you are ready to move to the next level you can sign up for a 54 hour compete web development class at Udemy. This class costs $14 but you will have the option to be reimbursed upon completion of the class.

Craft Time with Madison

Come to the library for a fun craft time with Madison. This program will be offered once per month and will have a different theme each month.

After School Movie

Come to the Ouray Library to see wonderful family films in our youth section. We will show newer films that the children will love. Snacks will be provided.

Digital Storytelling

Create a wonderful way to tell your story though digital means in a new and exciting way.


Tweens & Teens

Art with Heart

Art with Heart is a new initiative by the Ouray Public Library to teach new forms of art to teens to use as self-careĀ  We will have classes in pottery, batik, resin, and more. Sign up by emailing us at ProgramsOurayPL@gmail.com.

Cooking Class with Amy Extrum

Amy Extrum is a retired Home Economics teacher and she will be teaching high school students cooking skills once per month. Check our calendar for dates and sign up by emailing ProgramsOurayPL@gmail.com.

Yoga Class for Teens

Yoga is a great way to unwind and feel better. High School students can take yoga classes with Maureen the first and third Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. to 4:45. Sign up at ProgramsOurayPL@gmail.com.

Early Literacy

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help your child on his or her way to reading 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Reading logs can be found on the site’s Resources page.

Storytime with Vale
