This new
collection of picture books and junior and young adult fiction and nonfiction
was purchased thanks to a Books for Children matching grant from the
foundation. To receive the $500 matching grant, the Ouray community raised the
needed $250 (and then some!) at the Books for Children Fundraiser hosted in
March at O’Brien’s Pub and Grill.

The Libri
Foundation is a nationwide nonprofit organization that donates new, quality,
hardcover children’s books to small, rural public libraries in the United States
through its Books for Children program. Since October 1990, the
Foundation has donated more than $5 million worth of new children’s books to
more than 3,000 libraries in all 50 states.
