The Ouray Library Is Open by Appointment
Beginning, Monday, July 6, patrons may make 30-minute appointments to browse our collections, borrow books and movies, and use our computers. Access to collections will be limited to one patron or family at a time. Patrons are limited to one computer session per day and technical assistance will not be available. Appointments are made for the current week only: Monday to Friday — 10:30 am to 12 pm and from 1 to 4:30 pm. Face masks/coverings are required to enter the facility and while browsing the collections.
Computer and Internet Access by Appointment
Internet and computer access is available on an appointment-only basis, including time to use personal devices. Patrons may schedule one 30-minute appointment by calling (970) 325-4616 or emailing OurayPL@gmail.com. Face masks/coverings are required while using a computer or personal device.
Walk-Up Service Desk Remains Opens
Patrons also may visit our walk-up service desk to speak with library staff. Library staff will pull requests for patrons, accept returns, and answer as many questions as we can. Monday to Friday — 10:30 am to 12 pm and from 1 to 4:30 pm.
Home Delivery and Pickup Continues for July
For patrons not able to visit the library, staff will pull resources for home delivery and schedule pickups within city limits and surrounding neighborhoods. Returns must be placed in a tied plastic bag or a folded paper bag. To schedule, email OurayPL@gmail.com or call (970) 325-4616. Delivery will be scheduled based on demand for Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 1 and 5 PM.
Statewide Holds Now Available
Statewide holds are available to Ouray Library patrons. Patrons may place holds on statewide resources. Note that some library resources are not yet available and some libraries are limiting the number of requests. Anticipate that delivery will take longer than usual.
Book Sale and Book Donations
The Ouray Library book sale has been postponed. We are not taking any donations at this time. Please do not leave donations on library property. Watch for news about our pop-up book sales coming later this summer!
Digital Resources and Virtual Programs
Please take advantage of the library’s digital resources: Cloud Library. Many more free online resources have been added to the site. The Ouray Library Facebook page will include daily updates as well as ideas for staying occupied and engaged during this time.
